Potential purchasers of residential property can find this estimation tool useful, but it is not a statement of true tax liability.

Also, it is important to note that the local property tax replacement credit and state homestead credit (HEA 1001-2008) are estimates only. And, county CEDIT homestead credits are not reflected here.

*Notice: If the homestead deduction is selected, this tax bill estimator assumes that 100% of the entered assessed value is eligible for the homestead deduction and credits. Indiana law states that only the value of the primary residence, plus a maximum of one (1) acre of land, is eligible for the homestead deduction and applicable credits.  Be advised that if your property contains more than this amount of land, your actual tax bill will likely be higher than what is estimated here.

The Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF), in partnership with the Indiana Business Research Center (IBRC) at Indiana University, has created the this tax bill estimator.  The DLGF keeps the base data components of the estimator current based on submissions by the counties.
